    Featured PIP Woman: Candice Briggs

    Candice Briggs is a native of Montgomery, Alabama.  Candice professes herself to be an artist, poet, writer, ravenous reader and lifelong lover of all things artistic.  Candice is a graduate of Sidney Lanier’s Prestigious LAMP program, as well as an alum of Auburn University at Montgomery and Ashford University. 

    Having a passion for reading and writing created a perfect avenue for Candice to transition into freelance editing, where she found the chance to utilize her Liberal Arts Degree.   As Editor in Chief of E.A. Writing Services, Candice has credits editing numerous titles including Venus vs. Mars, On The Shoulders of Giants, The Two Mr. Rights, Candy Drop Girls, Silent Code, Mahogany Blues, See No Evil and For Life, just to name a few.

    Candice has also edited for various independent authors seeking publication, contributed to web content, authored health features for magazine publications as well as successfully researched and written grant proposals.

    Featured PIP Woman: La Tonia Rush

    La Tonia Rush moved to the Washington, DC metro area in 2008, currently residing in Baltimore, MD. She brings more than 10 years of experience in managing, coordinating and fostering unique corporate and business initiatives that focus on growth within the community and businesses are her most notable attributes.  Being afforded the opportunity to work with large corporations, government officials, educational systems, and the entertainment industry, has helped develop her into a results oriented professional. She has collaborated with successful men and women to help bring a message of change to society. 

    Her professional contributions have involved a variety of projects and programs such as:

    • The development and execution of a neighborhood youth club that teaches entrepreneurship  to inner-city youth, including coordinating the club’s open house and youth retreat(s)
    • Advisor, Speaker, Mentor and workshop facilitator for a young women’s non-profit organization,
    • Planning successful business development and other professional networking events to bring people together for a common cause
    • Coordinating corporate orientations, staff meetings, executive retreats, and social functions for major corporations

    She has hosted her own radio show, entitled “A Conversation from the Heart”, with Radio One in Baltimore (Spirit 1400). Her show was dedicated to providing a platform for the community to voice their concerns without judgment.  She is a Certified Life and Business Coach, TV Producer, Mentor, Facilitator/Speaker and soon to be author. She shares her knowledge, experience and wisdom to assist in bringing clarity and transition to the community and all those that she is comes in contact with
